"This File is not a recognizable format" what is this problem?

Hi,
When i am trying to open my excel file. It's prompting error message
"This File is not a recognizable format" and prompting for "Ok --- Cancel ---
Help" If am pressing the "OK" button, it will open but showing only ASCII
lettes. I tried it in different computers and versions (OS, Office
Versions). OK Thank You
 
When I open the file of Excel 2003 following message is appearing
"This file is not in a recognizable format"
Plz help me how to open this file
