XP Home. Network connection between Desktop and Notebook. Under Documents
and Settings there are several sub-folders that contain no files. Are they
really necessary, or can they be deleted?
They are: Local Service; Local Service NT Authority; Network Service;
Network Service NT Authority.

Can these folders be deleted? Under what circumstances would I ever need
them?
With much appreciation,

Jerry

Are you sure they are empty or do they have hidden files?

They are going to hold the network files if you create a
network or so I would assume.

BTW, who cares if you have posted 3,4 or a thousand times.

I have the "show hidden files" option checked. So they are empty! But thanks
for your response anyhow.

Jerry

They're not hurting a thing, they take up very little
space and you don't know what they're for.

LEAVE THEM ALONE, WORRY ABOUT YOUR KIDS OR YOU PARENTS !

There are files that don't show up even with that checked. I found that out
recently when hunting down a virus. The only way I could see the files is
through the command console.
