Hi All,

I've had two major problems with my T61 laptop since receiving it about 3
weeks ago. The biggest problem is that when I put it into any low power
mode (mainly I use shutdown or standby), it continually exits the mode,
then re-enters the mode until eventually the battery is dead. When I take
my laptop home at night, I just continually hear it beep as it goes in and
out of standby. My only solution so far has been to shutdown and remove
the battery.

The second, smaller issue has been that it will occassionally shut down on
its own while I'm in the middle of using it. The PC just instantly turns off.
This has happened about 4 times this month.

Any one know why this might be happening?

Thanks,

TF

Determine what is waking it up. BIOS set to Wake on Lan? Noisy or
vibrations triggering the mouse? Etc.

Overheating or a problem with your power supply.
