Hi, I am using MS publisher 2000 for making my website now. I see it has
some limitations for what I want to do. Plus the html code seams to be a
little strange. Not that I know anything about it. I had a web site
analisis done and it came back with a lot of html that should be fixed.
ANyway, I'm thinking about buying FP would that be a good one for me to make
a nice website with about 30 pages or so, Including lots of thumbnails, and
a guestbook. As well As a form or two. Also, with some subdirectories.
Is this suffecient for what I need? I like publisher a lot I use it all the
time and it's very easy to use. Does this work about the same way? One
thing I don't like about publisher is when I move a picture then save as
website it will change the img# and mess everything up so I have to upload
the whole website again. With a dialup connection this is an issue, how is
that working on FP? Thanks, Rob

Look at many, many previous posts about this. Stop what you are doing ...
Publisher is the wrong tool.... even yesterday. Learn to use FrontPage.

Publisher is not a web design tool. Although it can create HTML (very
badly), that is not its primary purpose. Publisher is a print-publication
application (this issue is discussed time and again). Read up on the
multiple posts per week (or day) on this issue.

You're right about the strange HTML - so use Frontpage which is an HTML
editor - you can use the GUI or hand-code the HTML itself.

Frontpage is the right tool for the job, so yes purchase it, and make good
use of it.
