Thinking about a new PC, any issues with config

Hi,

I am thinking about putting together a new PC. Anyone has any issues with
components/configuration below (or success stories :-) )
Dual Boot Ubuntu/Windows XP Pro 32 bit (hope to reuse my old XP license
:-) ).
I use it for various stuff:
My aim is to keep it below 1000 euro.

Gaming (I want to play oblivion/NWN2 during my holidays later this year)
(Therefore the Video card).
3D Rendering using Ubuntu/Blender (I know XP is not going to use all memory)
(Therefore the Quad Core/Memory).
Development C++ (nothing special for that I guess).

I intend to use the raid functionality (though I am not sure ubuntu
recognizes that as boot disk Otherwise I use two disk as raid and the third
for Ubuntu).
