I purchased the p160...very happy!! It come with only one 120mm back fan, I
added a 120mm front fan. The only noticeable noise is the CPU fan
....thermaltake Volcano 11+. Very good prices here on the two cases
mentioned and other as well

Well the vm3000 comes with a clear honeycomb window and I think 4 80
mm quiet fans. The Antec p160 comes with a single 120 fan in the
back. Both have room for a 2nd 120mm fan in front. Which cools
better. Anyone hear both before or similar. Thanks.

Almost always, 120mm is going to be quieter then 80mm...
simply because you need fewer rpms to push same volume
of air per minute with the 120mm fan.

I have (3) Antec p160 cases now, only one has had any
issues (the 2nd temperature monitor circuit is busted
and displays a garbage temperature reading of "00" or "-
E"). Other then that, I think they strike a very good
balance between # of bays, air flow, quiet, and being
well constructed.

Things to watch out for (all minor gotchas) with the
p160:

1) the top internal drive bay doesn't get much airflow,
even with adding a front 120mm fan. The other 3 have
plenty of airflow.

2) The motherboard tray is almost exactly 9.6" deep. A
10" deep motherboard will definitely *not* fit. (ATX
spec is 12" x 9.6", but some motherboards are a bit
bigger yet still listed as ATX.)

3) Be careful when putting in the 2nd 120mm fan, it's
very easy to strip the insulation off of the fan wires
that run along the plastic diagonal.

4) The rubber mounts that come with the case fan break
more often then not. If you want rubber-isolation on
the rear 120mm fan, get a separate rubber gasket kit and
use regular fan screws.

Oh, one more glitch with the p160:

The silver bay cover that's supposed to go in front of
your old-school beige drive to make everything look
pretty...? Toss it and put up with the beige or buy a
silver-faced drive. It's more of a gimmick then a
working bit of plastic.

Thanks for the info..
My plastic floppy drive cover works fine..but don't use too often.
Oh...the front panel HD and PWR lights don't work

you've probably got the headers for your LEDs the wrong way around: try
reversing them. you won't damage it if you get it wrong, they just won't
light.
