Six months ago I was given an old Dell 420 Precision Workstation
(circa 1999). I've decided to reuse the tower and I'm installing an
Asrock 775dual Vsta motherboard w/ a SATA hard drive. My question is
about the existing thermal sensor cable for the HD. The part number
is: 2490C. Will this sensor be okay to use with my new SATA drive? Or
do I need to upgrade it?

Not that many boards have thermal sensor input headers any more.
My current motherboard does. I checked the 775dual-vsta manual
and there is no header for one. So just leave the cable disconnected.
