It happened on a different computer in another room but I
keep on getting these error messages and then my computer
has to restart itself. Whenever I connect onto DSL, a
couple minutes later or so I get a message with the
options of "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send" and if I
click either one, this 1 minute shutdown thing starts and
it restarts my machine after 1 min.
The error only ever happens when I turn on DSL and I have
an idea of why it's happening. I discovered a virus
yesterday(when all this started happening) on my computer
named Win32.(forgot the extenstion). I deleted all traces
of it, I even scanned my computer 3 times over with Virus
Scan and I think it may have left a permanent mark on my
machine.
The error message that pops-up is:"Generic Host Process
for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Then after I click either one of the two options or just
let the message sit their for a while I get this message
about how my computer has to restart, please save any work
or it will be lost and the last line of the message
says:"This shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM."
Please tell me if there is anything I can do to stop this,
or will I have to completely restore my PC by putting in
the backup disc and losing all of my data on my comp?

I followed the steps but on the second site you posted,
is the chktrust.exe file necessary becasue the link to it
doesn't work and how do you turn of the system restore
thing because that link didn't work either.
