themes on windows xp wont save

when I hit save as after I create a new them on my windows xp it does not save. it still show as theme (modified) and if I tell it to replace a previous theme it will delete that theme. please help

Did you overwrite or delete one of XP's default themes? If you did you can
get them again by searhing *.them_ on the xp cd and expand them to the theme
folder.
