If someone creates a theme in FP 98 or FP 2000, can I use the same theme in FP 2002 or might I run
into problems? And what problems might I have? Do I have to put them in a different folder or
change any file names or anything like that?

Thanks.

The only way to use a theme created in a prior version of FP in a new
version of FP, is to open the site directly in the current version of FP,
then you can publish the web to your local machine and the theme will then
be added to your local theme content.
