the windows XP MONSTER!!!

I started with ME and XP into My Computer and to this day,
I REGRET IT!! First i had to reinstall all my drivers, All
ME programs were killed off or mutated in some wierd way.
XP goes online all the time to report everything I do on my
computer to microsoft corp. I had to rerister all my
Hardware with microsoft and finding all those reciepts and
id codes was hell. Then Xp tells me it cant do this and it
cant do that. Whatever I wanted to do The XP monster Flat
out refused. And it gets pissed when you turn off your
modem and work off line. I got all the latest upgrades and
patches aand now its slower and more stubborn than ever.
Microsoft programs contain instructions that require the OP
system to go online for approval, So microsoft is your
daddy or your screwed. I tried to kill the beast by
reinstalling Windows ME. HA HA HA what did I do that
for!!! XP just laughed at me and Said( Some other OP
system Is trying to acsess the hard drive and this not
supported.) IT's ALIVE!!!! I cant get rid of it and it wont
die!!! So now I'm trapped and cant experience the wonders
of technology. BEWARE!!! XP IS A MONSTER!!!!

I've had both OS's, and XP is far, far better. I bought my
computer (emachines - cheap as it gets) with XP installed and
I have never once experienced a system failure, a need to
re-install, a crash, etc., since the day I bought it. It's
been over a year now. Of course, other than memory, some added
applications, and critical updates, it's still stock, which
probably contributes to its stability.

If you ever get a system that's configured right, I think you'll
be happy with XP. BTW, too late now, but IMO, a full install
instead of an upgrade would have probably yeilded better results.

Wow! I wonder which Microsoft made your XP?

My XP had all the drivers for my hardware.

My XP didn't require me to provide Reciepts and ID numbers for any of
my hardware.

My XP never crashes.

My XP does everything I need it to do.

My XP doesn't report anuthing to Microsoft.

Most ( Though, not all ) of my programs ran fine under XP. The ones
that didn't, I was able to update.

I could easily go back to Win98/ME. Though, Why I'd want to I don't
know.

The only approval I need from Microsoft was Activation. 30 seconds
online, Once. No big deal.

So, I can only assume that you are using a different XP then I ( and,
most of the world ) am using.

Well, I found a person who helped me with the monster and
now it's nearly transformed back to David Banner.

I was about to sell the whole computer and get a new one
with an op system other than microsoft. I still might!!
I dont hear much about other companies Operating systems
getting a virus or crashing as much.. But Anyway i'll see
how long this computer tranquilizer will last.

Scum that write viruses don't waste their time writing code
for systems that only run on 5% of the computers. Microsoft
IS the target because it is successful.

Even Mac OS X, Linux, BSD and all other OS get viruses, it
is just that they are statistically unimportant. Except on
the Internet servers.

Sorry for your difficulty, but XP is really quite simple to install if you
have checked your system out ahead of time for possible incompatibilities,
and then fixed them. There is a compatibility program on the XP cd.
