The Windows Update Service in unavailable

I also need a solution to this :) I guess this problem
began for me after installing SP4 (just guessing though).
I've tried to change the registry values back and forth
too. No success.

Any ideas? Anyone?

OK guys I solved it hehe. If you have Win XP, do the following
Star
Control Pane
Administrative Tool
Computer Managemen
Services and Application
Service
Double-click Automatic Update
On General Tab, select Automatic under Startup Typ
to the left of the list it says, "stop the service", "restart the service
click on Restart the Servic

when you go back to Control Panel, System then the Automatic Update tab, you should be able to select
the option for automatic updates
