Well it's been raining in Somerset on & off for over 36 hours now.
Will do the land some good & may be even stop the hose pipe ban for a few months.
Whats the weather like where you are today?
It has been much the same just across the Channel here in Cheese-mining country. We have had some extremely heavy and prolonged showers, with quite a strong, gusty wind. Almost put on a pair of dancing shoes earlier, so that I could go outside and perform my rendition of "Singin' in the Rain!!" ....... or perhaps not
Got to walk the dog @ 5pm.
Forcast is for heavy rain at that time, looks like we are going to get very wet!!!
Rain is on the cards up until Wednesday, but we do need it!!
Sadly raining at 0700 this morning when i got up to do my morning checks.
Going to get wet today as a few jobs outside to do, But rain is doing the land a lot of good.

Yes, as a nation we tend to grumble when it rains, but it's worse to see the countryside becoming brown and dried-up. We always cross fingers that it will rain before school holidays, which is usually when the hillsides start to blaze with grass/brush fires started deliberately. The Fire Service is kept very busy with that kind of thing here and we usually see lots of stories in the local press during the summer - although it began earlier this year with that dry spell around Easter time.
I hope that you will be able to dodge the worst of the showers Exmoor and won't get too wet
Beautiful & sunny here today
spent the day carting firewood & a spot of autumn gardening, as the weather is definitely showing the bite of winter looming
