The "View History" Problem

I can no longer get the IE 6 browser to show more than "Todays" web site
history after I go: View>>Explorer Bar>>History. I have looked in the
Tools>>Internet Options>>History setting and it is set to 21 days. However,
I only am able to see 'today's' web activity on the browser page.

I also looked in Tools>>Internet Options>>Advanced, and did not see
anything there that would give me a setting re History.

It seems to me that a recent IE Update MIGHT have been the culprit, but I'm
not sure of this.
 
with the history window open on the side click on the
button that says "View" it will bring down a list and you
can choose for it to display history by Date or by Site
etc...
 
I see that, but it still won't give me any more 'sites visited' than
today's. I used to have to have the view with folders of "Three weeks ago,
Two Weeks Ago, Last Week, Today."

I can't see those folders anymore. That is what I am trying to correct.

Possibly your History folder is corrupt:
[XP\2K]
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder(s).
[example]
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"

Note: McAfee AV with ActiveX controls enabled is known to cause History
problems.
