The use of languages in word

I send and receive many emails from a friend in Russia and therefore on some occasions I have to translate those messages from Russian to English. If it is possible I would like to write to my friend, in English and the software converts this to Russian? In any case I have tried to look through the various help menus and cannot find anything that will assist me. Or maybe there is a way to help me but I just cant find it? I would appreciate it if someone could help me as this would reduce the time I have to spend using poor translators on the internet.

Unfortunately, no, Word is not capable of doing this. Its Translate function
can translate a single word at a time, but only for those languages for
which proofing tools have been installed.

In addition to Suzanne's comments, I would advise that
you not be tempted to buy any third party translation
software as a solution. You are not going to get
substantially better translations than those on websites
such as babelfish.altavista.com, as these websites use
the same core technology to provide the translation. We
are a long way off good machine translation unfortunately.
