I am very concerned about the junk that is on the
internet and I would like to protect myself. I have a
Norton Antivirus software and Win XP WITH the firewall
on. I use the internet everyday, including my e-mail. I
only download stuff occationally.

First, is my current actions enough to protect from
almost all of the bad stuff on the internet?

I have seen McAfee Internet Security and Norton's
Internet Security. Are they going to give my any added
protection with my current actions?

Should I even add another firewall with the either
Internet Security?

Or is a firewall enough?

Is their a way I can protect my privacy?

I have lots of questions because I am a very concerned
individual. Any advise, comments, and/or suggestions
will help me a great deal. THANK YOU!!!

In addition to your anti-virus and firewall, you need to keep Windows
up-to-date with critical updates. You also need to add protection to IE.
I recommend Quik-Fix from www.pivx.com. If the beta expires and they ask
for money, post back for free fixes.

When XP SP2 comes out, a lot of these IE vulnerabilities will be fixed
and the firewall will be much more configurable and flexible.

The best way to protect your privacy is not to store financial
information on your computer and to be careful to read User Agreements
for any free software or too-good-to-be-true offers.
