The "temp file not found" problem ?

FP2003, building sites on a win2.3K server.

I know the cure for this annoying bug - exit out of FP, clean out the
temp files (FP cleaner usually), and then restart... then it's OK for
a while.

Has anyone found a cure for this annoyance? Is there something
external to FP that is perhaps cleaning out files it expects to find?
It seems to happen a whole lot more with some sites compared to others
but I'm not sure that there is anything particularly distinctive about
the sites. On the current site, I can work for quite a while - then it
starts cropping up every 5 minutes.

How are you accessing the site on the server from within FP?

Interesting point. Let me note that I most always access my sites in
the same way, which is on a file-share. So the webs are more of a disk
based action.

I go that route because they are on virtual servers using host headers
on MS win2.3K. I've had some other real oddities occur when trying to
use FP on webs on the virtual - I think it may be due to the fact that
I use a hosts file to get to them since I don't runs DNS internally.

So, anyway... for development they get treated like a disk based web.
Testing is done through the virtual server.

FP extensions don't work well with host headers.
