The system recovered from a serious error

hi,

whenever I tried to play games like "Call of duty", "Escape from Monkey
Island', etc., my system hung up (Windows XP Professional) after starting the
game and freeze the video, only sound can be heard for a long time and all of
a sudden system restarted itself. After restarting it shows the message that
"The system recovered from a serious error"
C:\windows\minidump\mini120204-04.dmp and
c:\document\Ajoy\locals~1\temp\WER3.temp dir00\Sysdata.xml
Yesterday, even while I was seaching the help and support menu for the
troublshooting, it behaves in the same way as mentioned above. My
motherboard is Intel Original D865GVHZ, Pentium IV 3.0 GHz (HT), Memory 1 GB,
HDD 120 GB, Intel Graphics Controller 82865G (updated to latest available
version), directX9.0c. I have no internet connection in this system. Please
let me know I should I do, I am new in computers.
