Press F8 during the early boot phase, then try booting
into Safe Mode.

On PCs that are or were connected to a domain controller,
there are three boxes on the logon screen:
1. User name
2. Password
3. Domain

The third box is sometimes hidden and becomes visible
only when you click the "Options" button. Change this
box from the current domain name to the "local" machine
name, then log on with a local account and password.

eh sorry but when the options button is open it shows only 2 bars
1 name
2 password
and in grey an option voor logging in with an dail in connection
(i never used that)
when the options buttun is pressed again
that dissapears
is there an other way to change that domain setting

regards

I am having the exact same problem, and this particular machine was never
part of a domain either. Did anybody find a fix for this issue yet? TIA ...
