After furious head scratching, news.microsoft.com asked:

| Also, I have noticed that the Send/Receive button does not respond-it

| thinking that your accounts get out of sequence when you have a more
| frequent send/receive interval for a lower account than for one at
| the top of your list. Also, with this many accounts, what is the
| send/receive interval you have defined?

||| It does not matter why I want to do something. It matters that the
||| software can and did and now does not. I am looking for a solution
||| from an MVP. If you have no solution that is fine.
||| I do not want them arranged alphabetically. I have them arranged by
||| server and type. That way I don't have to wait for the slower
||| Hotmail/Gmail accounts to load. My fasters servers are set first.
||| But as the program crashes due to today's IE7 installation that has
||| been rendered moot. I cannot access Outlook and my Office disks are
||| 725 miles away at my home. I now lose 4 days of productivity
||| waiting to return home and spend more valuable hours reinstalling.

||||| I recieve this error message when trying to move any of my 9 Pop3
||||| accounts or 3 Hotmail accounts up or down with in the email
||||| heirarchy. The accounts all exist and all can be modifiedl. All
||||| can send or receive. They can be deleted and readded to the
||||| system. The error message persists.

||||| This is a laptop running XPSP2 Outlook 2003 with all patches
||||| applied.

||||| How can I get these accounts to reorder properly?
