I've got an application that needs to import over 1000 records in ADAM and eventually, this could be as high as 65,000. This import only needs to occur once (initially) and then it's only updates to the data that get applied. However, all client installs start out as "initial" imports so this is something that needs to be resolved. We have slowly cranked up the number of imports and are currently at 1025 when we started noticing a problem.
"The server is not operational".
We'd get into the 900 range when we started seeing it. What we have noticed is that on a slow internet connection (our app is intranet based but can be run over the web) we do not see this issue. However, on a faster connection or on the LAN we do. So basically it looks like we are performing an Denial Of Service on ADAM.
Is there MAX number of writes that can occur within a given timeframe in ADAM or maybe even a limits on the number of threads?
Any help would be appricated.
ps. I know that ADAM works best when you are reading from, however, the application is currently based on ADAM and until we move over to SQL, ADAM has to be able to handle our writes.
Thanks
