Yes I can open other 03 files. I was thinking that the files in
question
had
gotten corrupt but I really want to know how they got corrupt. I'll
try
the
recovery process and let you know if it works. Thanks for your help so
far!
:
Can you open other 2003 files with PPT 2007? If so, then this
particular
one
may be corrupt. Here is some info that may help you recover it:

I tried both of the options. The diagnostics passed. Then I tried
to
do
the
reuse slides option and it just said that it cannot open the
selected
file
:
I've not run across this particular error message. I would try
first
running
diagnostics in PPT 2007 (Office Button | PPT Options | Resources)
and
then
if that doesn't work try Home | New Slide | Reuse Slides. Opt to
open
a
PPT
file in the Reuse Slides pane and navigate to your PPT 2003 file.

I have a ppt file created in 03 but cannot open it in 07. It says
"The
selected file does not appear to be a valid Microsoft Office
PowerPoint
file.
It might be another kind of Microsoft Office System file or a
file
created
by
using a different program."
I know it was created in 03 b/c I created it. Has anyone come
accross
this?
