The scanning never stop

Hello!!
The scanning never stops regardless of the scheduled and the immediately
starts.
It continues the scan until manually stop. The counter for scanned objects
is increased forever.
My system is Win XP pro SP2 with latest patch, AMD 1.8GHz CPU and 1GB memory.
Do you know how fix it??

I did them, but unfortunately it does not work.

The problem is that always stuck at C\System Volume
Information\_restore{08A0B571-F3D7-4057-AED6- whisch is indicated the
Defender window.
So, I disabled system recovery function. Then all check point data are gone.
After that, I started Defender and it was fixed.

I guess, it seems to be Win Defender bug. XP takes check ponit when the
definition applied. May be it has bug around here.

Microsoft does read these groups, and feedback here does get incorporated
into the further work on the product.
