Freeware???

Freeware???

Errr....
"Try it for free for 15 days. Then you have several options: you can crack
trialware protection easily yourself, or find an older version cracked by
other people online"

You can get LFW of Regmagik, if you hunt around. I run both v3.26 and v3.24.

On the current shareware release: if you're interested, you can request
from the author, free registration, for your copy. I've just now spotted
that offer on the website.

Thanks for clarification, the site the OP posted didn't exactly had
'freeware' written all over it.

Well, I concede that versions after 3.26 still can't get called freeware.
Those who take advantage of this temporary opportunity to get a free
registration for the current shareware release, they won't be able to
redistribute.

Aside from issues of current status. RegMagik is a wonderful program.
I've trouble thinking of any other program upon which I am so utterly
dependent, and where I feel no other choice could adequately substitute.
In Regmagik's case, it even beats all of the payware alternatives, IMO,
especially in how it is so fast and lightweight.

I guess I did too much reading from cracker's websites. My apologies are due
to anyone who got offended by my remark about cracking RegmagiK. I removed
the phrase from the page. Also I spent most of the day generating activation
codes and answering a couple of questions, that basically means one thing -
this newsgroup is active - and it's a good thing.

Also at least two activation code requests came from invalid e-mail
addresses. How did these people expect to get anything back is a mystery for
me. If you did not get a reply from me, check what you have sent first.

Please let me know how RegmagiK works for you. There are only 2 reasons
RegmagiK is good:
1. I use it
2. You use it

I tried it. And promptly dumped it. It's extremely slow.

Search is important for me. I use RegCrawler ... I searched for "RunOnce"
and found all instances in about 10 seconds. RegMagik took at least 3x as
long.

I am glad you've tried. Did you have search tuned to not look in Non string
type values ?

Robert,
Forgive me, my RegmagiK (business) is very immature. www.regmagik.com domain
name should be forwarded to my ftp space at AOL. I got errors now and then
myself, but you've found the right place. Frankly, I got sick of AOL making
it harder and harder to maintain the web site, and after my last
conversation with their support I've decided I need a better hosting
solution.

Well, I've tried RegCrawler and I confirmed that the search for RegOnce was
much faster than RegmagiK. This is something I'll definitely address in my
future versions. I appreciate your feedback. I am sorry you did not take
time to explore other features of RegmagiK that might be of interest to you.
Octavian,
Did you pay $39.95 for your copy of RegCrawler or ordered a Site License for
$250?
