I have setup a VPN between two offices. The VPN works. I
was trying to connect from one server to the other. When
the branch office tries to connect to my DC they can by
using Start > Run > \\192.xxx.xxx.xxx. They are prompted
for the user name and password and they can see the shares

However when I try the same thing with their DC I get the
following error

*The referenced account is currently locked out and may
not be logged on to*

I tried to look for specific GPs but none to be found.
Where should I look? What policy will cause this error to
appear? I can connect to a *client* on that same network,
but not the DC. The DC returns the above mentioned error

Thank you for your help

The account you are trying to connect with has been locked out because
of too many bad password attempts. This flag needs to be unchecked for
this login at the remote DC.

Hi Warren. The thing is I am not being prompted to even
enter a user name or password. It says that as I try to
access the server using the IP, for example:

\\192.168.xxx.xxx

It waits a few seconds then it comes back with:

*The referenced account is currently locked and may not be
logged on to*

It does this before it prompts me for the User Name and
Password. it's as if It's locking out my machine, but my
machine doesn't even have an account in that domain
