when I try and access a program's help file I get the following error message:
"Action canceled
Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page
might be temporarily unavailable "

I want XP to look on the hard drive, not the internet.

How do I change this?

PS WinXP Help and Support works fine.

It sounds as if the programs Help Files are actually Web Help. Some
programs do this, they don't have internal Help Files and clicking on Help
activates a link to their web site where you can look up Help there. You
will just have to be patient until the page becomes available.
