I have to tell you, they are not very clever ... :fool:

I just had to keep them on the phone, while I noisily made a coffee. :)

You should have gone to the shop to get some coffee. :D

Half the time the TPS doesn't even work and it can also take up 6 months to effectively even make a difference

Microsoft in India? The Delhi office has been very busy lately I hear, apparently you can buy Win 8 for just 20 rupees atm ;)

Mucks sign up to the Telephone Preference Service to stop these calls @

Unless of course you like them?

Totally useless ...

There are also companies, usually operating from overseas that are running scams. One of the most common is based on a bogus PC support service where their aim is to get you to pay for an unnecessary service or gain access to personal information on your PC.

After about 10 calls with my various humorous (to me) responses, my wife Kathy outdid me and answered with "windows? I don't want my windows washed!" The person actually got mad and said " no, no! Your computer has a problem and I will fix it." Kathy replied, "but I don't have a computer". The person hung up. These have become FUN calls!

That tps service?

I was getting regular spam calls everyday which involved me wiping all the answerphone messages every day or picking up the phone and telling them to **** off.

I registered with the tps thingie three months ago and in that time I've only had two spam calls.

So it worked for me, the calls stopped more or less overnight.
