The 'My Computer' folder seems to be missing. I cannot access it on the Desktop or in any Open File dialog message boxes. This makes it very hard to get to stuff. Please can anyone help?

Dan;
Try this:
Right click the Desktop | Properties | Desktop tab | Customize Desktop button |
Make sure My Computer is ticked | OK | Apply | OK

(BTW - I have a Compaq P4 1.7 G, w/XP Home, 512 Mb, 2 80 Gig hard drives) Both My Computer & My Documents check boxes are grayed out. It happened after I did the last Security Update but I didn't notice it right away so that may or may not be the cause. Thanks for the prompt reply WV.

TweakUI has an option also. Do you have TweakUI? Worth a shot. It has a lot of other
nice features.

I got it back! I had another tweaking program, Fresh UI, loaded but I removed it. I must have un-ticked the My Computer box before I got rid of it. I'm a program junkie! Thanks for all your help!
