Hi,
on my laptop (Dell Latitude with Windows 2000 Professional) i have a
wireless optical mouse from Microsoft on the USB port.
Suddenly, and for no apparent reason or after no apparent of obvious
interval, the mouse cursor just starts pulling towards an end of the screen.
If i drag the cursor towards the middle of the screen, it just goes back
towards one of the edges of the screen. Often even i can't drag the cursor
to the middle of the screen, it just stays at the edge of the screen.
I don't think it's connected to the wireless mouse, because when i
disconnect it, and just work with the mousepad that's on the laptop, the
same thing happens. Even rebooting doesn't solve the problem. Sometimes
moving the mouse around very fast stops this behaviour, but most of the
times the only thing that helps is waiting till it stops.
I have done all the updates from windowsupdate, i even updated the driver of
the mousepad but nothing helped. I also scanned for viruses, and none were
found. Anyone got any idea on what is happening here?
Regards & thx in advance for any help!
