In Outlook 2000 we use the journal to track phone calls and emails etc.
Every six months we back up and archive the journal entries. Apparently,
when we archived the year 2002 the entries were not removed ... Now we have
16353 Journal entries and we are not ready to back up 2004 yet... (2003
backed up fine {archived?} and was removed)... the journal now gives us an
error message ("The message interface has returned and unknown error") each
time we try to add a new call. So we figured there must be some limitation
on the storage capability of the journal and decided to see what we could
delete. That is when we discovered that 2002 was never successfully
removed. We tried to archive them to remove and it didn't work. So we
tried to delete them by hand and we get the same error message as above. We
have tried detect and repair and we even removed the software and
re-installed it but the problem must be in the .pst file. Any suggestions?
