I'm running WinXP Media Center on a Dell Dimension 8400. I've just
installed some new programs, and now when I click on Start/All
Programs, the list of all my programs is two columns. The problem is
that the last program (Word) in the 2nd column is so low (off-the-page
low) that I can not see its title (Word) at all and can hardly see
enough of it to click on to run it.

What can be done to make it not go off the bottom of the 2nd column,
and be more visible?

Thanks for all suggestions.

There are third-party utilities to manage items in / Windows / Start Menu
-- but this is something you can do yourself.

Each menu in / Start Menu is merely a subfolder holding
LNK = link files to installed applications: and you can
cut and paste these files and folders like all other standard
files and folders.

E.g. create one new folder c:\windows\start menu\programs\graphics.
Then MOVE into it all the folders for graphic files already in
c:\windows\start menu\programs
e.g. CorelDraw, MSPaint, Photoshop, Broderbund Print Shop.
This will make your total /Programs list shorter: and group
together all the graphics apps you have. You can do the same
for audio players and any other type of app where two or more
installed programmes have similar functions.

Don's suggestion is by far the best way to do it, but it'll take a little
time. For temporary relief, right click your taskbar, pick properties,
click the "Start Menu" tab and then click on the "Customize" button. On the
list there, put a check mark by "Scroll Programs". That will put everything
in one column, but you can scroll all the way to the bottom.
