The labels in the cal view change, but Events view doesn't, why?

I have used the label colors in the calendar view, but when I try to use the
events view to sort activities the labels reflect the windows defaults,
red=important, yellow=phone call. Can I get the labels to change in the
table views or am I stuck with the default categories?
 
You're stuck until Outlook 2007.
