Hello, all!
I've been fighting the infamous "general network error" issue for some
time now (over 6 months). After having tried various "workarounds",
"half-solutions" and suggestions, the only thing that's left to try is
the fix described in MS KB 823679.
So, here are my two questions for you guys.
First, is the fix from Ndp1.1-kb823679-x86.exe included in .Net 1.1
SP1? So far, the indication I got from various posts in various
newsgroups is no, but I'm not fully sure.
Second, if I wanted to obtain this particular fix separately, how would
I go about it? Could someone possibly from MS who reads the newgroup
please answer this question?
Just in case, here's the synopsis of my environment:
1st Client:
OS: W2k server (all SPs applied), running IIS with MS ASP.NET
2nd Client:
OS: W2k server (all SPs applied), my app is deployed as Windows Service
SQL server:
OS: W2k server (all SPs applied), running SQL2K SP3 (some additional
hotfixes applied on top of SP3)
I could provide more details if need be.
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Mark Gimelfarb.
