Hi.

Again, we want to hear NEW solutions. Not old ones. What we know and
what we want to know:

1) This is NOT malware or spyware or a virus. It's NOT. If you think
it is, you're TOTALLY WRONG! WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) The phenom ("http:///? " inserting in front of mistyped URLs)
started happening to many of us after the latest patch set was loaded.
Go fig.

3) Who from Microsoft or ANYWHERE is actually going to tell us what's
really going on?

Puh-LEEEEEEZE (!!!) don't write back and say run hijackthis or
cwshredder or ad-aware or some other LAME, OLD, DUMB, and WRONG
solution!!! If you don't know, then just shut up and don't say
anything!!! Let the experts who have NEW info enlighten us. And I'm
expecting that has to be someone in Redmond.

We're waiting...

Me.

We're waiting...

Me.

Loading MS Messenger 6.2 and selecting "MSN search" as the default
search engine fixes the problem. OK, NOW PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY. BTW - I
already know that "%20" equals SPACE. And not only explain why but
explain why it started happening only after the most recent batch
o'patches were installed...

Someone in Redmond care to comment?

Hi - Download and run:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/RestoreSearch2.REG to restore
your default Search functionality. You'll have to manually re-select any
Customizations you may have had, however.

No Jim, NO!!!
