The Gigabyte 3D1

This looks very nice :D I'm chugging along on a 9800 - which is slow nowadays! Still does everything I want though so I'll be sticking with it for a good few months yet :)

How about a 42" Plasma monitor and a few cars ;)

I'd love to be able to get to the stage where Intel and NVidia send us the lastest stuff ;) :D
 
Of course.... If you get sent too much free stuff for the 2 of you to handle yourselves, i`d jump in an give a hand :-p

Actually my first ever payslip was for reviewing stuff for a magazine.... Scale Aviation Modeller International. Fell to bits coz my photography wasnt quite up to scratch. :(

One thing, You cant buy it by itself as the card wont work with any motherboard. Instead it comes packaged with a new Gigabyte motherboard. Unfortunatly teh card not SLI compatable. It may cost around 600$ (or 316 pounds) which isnt bad considering its faster than the Geforce 6800 Ultra and you get a motherboard as well.

Good price though for what you get.

especially considering that a Geforce is 6800 Ultra is 500$ anyways, Heard the 3D1 is more powerful than it! and for just 100$ more you get a motherboard to boot. (do i sound like a salesman?)

The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI Motherboard. the SLI version of the AGP board. Heard it was pretty good, lots of overclocking options, although expensive by itslef.
 
The x-factor of this dual-gpu solution is however stunning. The performance is staggering. I mean the the first time that the card reported a 14,400 3DMark 03 score back to me I was like... what the? .. isn't that higher then a Radeon x850 XT PE? And yes, it is.
