The future of air travel

This "Ocean Liner in the Sky" is being developed in California - it looks pretty awesome so thought some of you aviation enthusiasts might be interested to see it

I suppose it could be used instead of ferries and for cruises, would be alot faster than long train journeys as well.

Nice find TC! I'd love to see airships as mainstream modes of transport again, as the technology has advanced quite some way since the Hindenburg.

Great idea. A little slow for long distance travel however.

Hold on folks this thing has not flown yet!
Once trials have been done & it's been flown then we can sit back & get excited.

Back in the late 1980's/early 90's a project like this was mooted.
After test flights the idea was dropped ever so quietly!
