Or to insert the flat character, choose Insert, Symbol
Pick Arial Unicode MS as the font then scroll down to the Misc. Dingbats
section where you'll find several music notation symbols, including Flat.
If you don't have Arial Unicode MS installed, try one of the other suggestions.
If you DO use Arial Unicode, be very careful of embedding the font; if
possible, choose the option to embed used characters only. Otherwise, we're
talking big big big PPT files.
