I'm trying to communicate between machines and also to my server using
the run command and unc address's - "\\xxx-m2003-svr2\apps" It doesn't
matter which machine that I'm on (I have 4 running for this test) I
still get the same answer when I try to get to one of the other
machines.

I am working in a test environment using Win 2000(SP4) Advanced server
with AD, DHCP and DNS running.
I can access the other machines using "My network places" and I can
also ping them using both the IP address and the machine name. But
when I go to Run and enter \\xxx-m2003-svr2\apps they come up with the
error.

If apps is NOT a share name, you will get an error.

If apps ia share name, \\xxx-m2003-svr2\apps will simply open the folder.
