The file My pictures

is showed as miniature imiges everywhere, if I want to attach a picture to an
email, if I search for an image from Word/Paint Shop Pro or if I use the
Explorer.
I find this very annoying, as I always show all files in the mode "List".

Please help me..
How can I change (forever) the view mode for "My pictures"?

Lets assume for the sake of this post that you want to display contents of
folders as ICONS.

From Windows Explorer...
View > Icons

Then
Tools > Folder Options > View > Apply to All Folders (button)

Click OK, then launch Windows Explorer

The contents of folders should be displayed as 'icons'.

This is also true when you search - e.g., if you search for all *.jpg files.
I.E., the files found list should contain files displayed as icons.

Note: This setting does not apply to MS Word.

then find the section called "Question: Why doesn't Windows keep my folder
settings?".

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the procedure didn't make any change.
I guess I can create another file, name it "Pictures" and put all my sorted
files with pictures into it. That would do the trick, as this seem to be
something special that only concern the pre-named files for pictures and
musik.

No big deal, but I was a bit curious:))

Hey, what an interesting website!
I'll most likely visit you again:)

As I have had my new computer (with XP installed) for about two weeks, and
prefer to have all my files show and opening the same way, I really doubt
that I have reached the limit of 400 already.
But thanks for the suggestion!

You're welcome, but I cannot take credit for the website nor can I say it is
mine. The website belongs to a MVP named Kelly. I absolutely have nothing to
do with Kelly's website.

This 400 number includes operating system files not just the ones you
created.
