Fallout 4 PC mods can be played and shared on Xbox One for free
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...can-be-played-and-shared-on-xbox-one-for-free

UPDATE: Bethesda Game Studios chief Todd Howard has said the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 will, like the Xbox One version, support mods made with the PC version.

Howard told Geoff Keighley on his YouTube Live show that the Creation Kit modding tool will come to the PC version of Fallout 4 after the game launches this November. He suggested it will be released on PC early 2016, then shortly after on Xbox One, then on PS4.

Howard said it made sense for the Xbox One version to support mods before the PS4 version because of BGS' relationship with Microsoft and Xbox's connection with Windows 10, but the intention was for mods to be available to all.

The official Bethesda Game Studios Twitter account followed up Howard's comments, saying the studio "hopes" to bring mod sharing from PC to PS4.

So whos getting it? I am very tempted!

Oh yes! :D I've never taken a day off to play something on release day, but this I may do!

The only question is do I get it for PS4 or PC (heretical, I know!). Bex is probably looking forward to it even more than I am, so we're both going to want to play it. I'm actually tempted to get it for PS4 this time, as my PC is going to struggle to run it at decent graphics settings.

If your looking to mod it, both consoles (as well as PC obviously) will have support for them so Its really up to you Ian. :)

Good to know that modding will be supported on console, as that was something that concerned me. I think I'll go for the PS4 version :).

I think PS4 is a good idea too - it's one of those games that is really good to watch even if you're not the one playing it. Can't wait for it to come out! I'm sorely tempted to go for the collectors edition so that I get my very own Pip Boy 3000... but we'll just see I guess. I've got really skinny arms so it probably wouldn't fit anyway!

Anyone had a go with Fallout Shelter yet? We don't have any Apple devices anymore, so we're having to wait for the Android version. Boo!

No I forgot all about it, will be waiting for the 'droid version too. :)

I want that game for sure but I'm still smarting at the price tag - £50.

I'll probably get my money's worth in entertainment value and the PC version will probably be cheaper than PS4 and Xbox 1 versions but still...

Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition is 100% sold out, and Bethesda can't make more.

It's not often people give a hoot about physical pre-order incentives, but Fallout 4's Pip-Boy edition is a huge exception. It's easy to understand: Pip-Boy's are great, and this one even threatened to be useful, compatible as it was with smartphones. Such was the demand that if you haven't secured one already then you've got no chance, unless from a reseller.

It's not because Bethesda is stingy or mean, but rather because they simply can't. According to Pete Hines in an interview with Gamespot, factories can no longer make them.

"We reached a point where we'd go back to the factories and they were like, 'guys, this is it, sorry. This is as long as we can run the lines and as many of them as we can make.'"

"They're being made today, it's not like they're done and sitting in a warehouse. [The factories would tell us,] this is what the yields say. I mean, we don't make [the Pip-Boy Editions], and we'd go back to [the factories] and say, 'Demand for this is insane, we've got to make more.' And they'd move other projects off or shift stuff to other factories and it just came to [them telling Bethesda], 'Final answer: sorry, this is as many as we can make.' And we sold every single one of those that we could."

So there you go: video game merch doesn't just magically appear in some marketing department storeroom, it needs to be made. Sometimes there's a limit to how many things can be made. It's crazy when you think about it.

What?? How can they not make more?! "Oh no, there's a massive demand for one of our products, better not fulfil it"

Should have pre-ordered :( :wall:

Methinks Bethesda are being economical with the truth about the Pip Boy

Fifty quid and now a slap in the teeth for would be purchasers.

Going off this by the minute....

Nice video looking at why details matter:

Really can't wait :thumb:
