Either purchase a keyboard that doesn't have the <WinKey>, or simply
don't press it. There's nothing "evil" about the key, by the way, nor
is there anything making you press it.

Evil? I don't think it's evil. You can disable it with a third-party
utility, such as the freeware SharpKeys, at
http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/

I don't mind the Windows key, but I use SharpKeys to disable both the Insert
key and the Caps Lock, neither of which I ever want to use, and both of
which I sometimes hit by accident.

Don't like the Windows key, put a penguin there...get a
Linux keyboard.

I happen to like the Microsoft key for shortcuts, but when gaming, it can be
a real pain. I have 2 of those keys on my keyboard, one on each side of the
space bar. I took a screwdriver and popped the left one off the keyboard
which solved the problem with games, but leaves the right one functional for
when I want to use it.

I don't think i could live without the W key! One of the most used keys
on my keyboard.

I always find disabling the Windows key so rewarding.. if ever my mouse
freezes it prevents access to START - TURN OFF COMPUTER - RESTART.. of
course, I can always use CTRL- ALT - DEL, wait for Task Manager to appear,
followed by ALT F, and then a quick mess with the 'right' arrow to get to
SHUTDOWN, and then another quick mess with the 'down' arrow to get to
RESTART..

Oh, the joys of multiple choice..

Mike,

I sometimes offer no warnings. I only post what the OP wants. They know
better than I do about most things anyway. ;-)
