Hello all.

Anyone know how to permanantly delete the everyone group from Windows 2000?
I have the idea you need to substitute it with another group, but not quite
sure how.

Thanks

Rich

You can't. It is a special built in group. You can however remove it from ACL's and
user rights assignments. If you decide to remove it from ntfs permissions, I would
recommend not modifying any ntfs permissions in the \winnt folder or subfolders. It
should however in most cases be removed from the root folder and replaced with users
group having read/list execute permissions or at least reduced to
ad/list/execute. --- Steve
