I went to see them last night at Brixton Academy.

And, er, to be honest I wasn't really that impressed.

They're fine musicians, the band have their own character and they have a fairly good stage presence but they just left me mostly unmoved.

I watched them from the bars area at the back of the Academy and went right down the front for half an hour. The place was packed, gig sold out.

Oh well, some you win, some you lose, but I do like checking out new (to me anyway) bands.
 
sounds cool, but personally i am not a huge fan of the editors. They have some very good songs such as bullets but they seem a bit bland and alot of their songs sound like the previous track they made they dont seem to have alot of variety. were there any other good support bands playing??
 
their album is ok, i didnt think it was anything to shout about but i still listen to it

i highly recommend you get the kooks album if you havent already, every song is brilliant its just a shame they are so short

There were two support bands, neither of which were very good imo. Ten of us went and opinion about The Editors was fairly evenly divided, some clearly thinking they were the best thing since sliced bread whereas myself and several others were ditinctively nonplussed.

I have the album, like you say it's ok but nothing outstanding. Have noticed The Kooks CD doing well, will have to check them out, thanks :)

I know it is the thing that is in my cd player at the moment it is fantastic! looking to get some tickets to one of thier concerts in october but they sell out very quickly:(
 
Right now my daughter has the song "Download this song" playing on loop on her comp. I don't know who's song it is, & it was very witty the first 20 or so times... but right now....


Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhgggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!

Soneone please give me a hammer... I want to finish the job...
