Hi all,

I am getting this msg in event log.
"The device, \Device\Harddisk1, has a bad block."

when I connect portable USB disk to my laptop.

I am using Win2k3 with SCSI disk (Basic ) with 3 partitions as a main
disk.
In disk manager, USB is shown as disk1 but with status (uninitialized).

Pls help...

Intialise the USB disk, partition it, format it, then run chkdsk /f /r.
If nothing bad gets reported, run chkdsk on your SCSI disk too.
