I thought I had lost this game for good but I recently looked in my old
Roberta Williams Anthology disks and there it was. One time before, from the
old floppies, (don't know what became of them) I could at least get the
game to try and start after the configuration screen. I would get the
320x200 resolution and the cursor changing to a dagger, as it's supposed to.
But I always got booted out from there with an error message about not
finding sound, even if I selected PC speaker as the sound device.
Now, all I get is a black screen when trying to start the game. I've tried
all sorts of different PIF settings too, to no avail. The first time, long
ago, as stated above, I never messed with PIF settings to get it to go as
far as it did then. Strange I can't get it even that far now. I tried
"Dosbox" and the front end for it but that did nothing at all.
So, I'm hoping someone that really likes old, old DOS games might just know
how to get this going.
