Sam

My clock keeps running fast. I normally sync it with
time.windows.com

why does it keep going slow?

like 5 mins fast in 1 day!

Also for some reason when i tried to do the sync today,
this error came:

an error occured. The time sample was rejected because:
The peers stratum is less than the hosts stratum

any help appreciated, espescially on the first point

I am confused.

You say 2 times the clock is running fast, then you say it is runing
slow.

Which is it?

I get the same error trying 2 different sites.

My best guess is it has to do with day light savings time.
Perhaps they have not reset their clocks.

i am sorry

i meant ut is running fast

slow was a typo

To eliminate that problem use TOCK.USNO.NAVY.MIL ----time windows.com has
always been troublesome. This Navy site is far more accurate/trouble free..

I've just noticed that I'm getting the same error using this time server...
"time.windows.com"

Thanks it worked first time.

For others reading this, to change to this time server...

Double click on the clock and select "Internet Time" tab.
Copy this text (excluding the quotes) "TOCK.USNO.NAVY.MIL" into the Server
box and click update.

Google has some info on this time server at:

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ntp.html
