I created several categories under contact list, some peoples are in more
than 2 categories. If I update some information on them, I have to go
through every category they belong to update. It is very tedious. Is there
any way for me to update the information in one step without go through each
category?

Thanks for help!

I'm not sure I follow - if you are really using categories, you only need to
update the contact once.

This is a scenario, I have a contact name Mr.A, he is in the category A,B,C
If I want to update his address, I have to go through category A,B and C to
update.
Is any possibility that Mr. A's address in category B and C will be
automatically updated after I update his address.
Thanks!

As long as you have just one contact for Mr. A and added the categories to
the contact in the category field at the bottom of the form, you only need
to change it once. If you use folders to categorize contacts and/or made 4
copies of the contact, then yes, you need to change each one. I'll point out
that if you are using folders or multiple contacts, it's a really bad way of
managing your contacts.

Dear Diane,

Thanks for pointing out the problems. The reason I copy the categories to
folderes is to make mass-mailing easier. When I click the To: field, in the
select name menu, I can select the specific groups (folders) to send. Plus,
I can do mail merge.

Is there any third party can solve this problem?
Thansk!
L.J.
