Each time I put in a CD, and I try open it, a message
comes up saing that the CD-rom cannot be located and to
insert the correct cd-rom and restart the application.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is the drive seen in Explorer (My Computer)? If yes, is the drive letter
correct? Did the cd-rom ever work? Can you connect the time it stopped
working to when you did anything in particular? Does it fail to read
*any* cd's? Does it work in Safe Mode? If not, is the drive seen in the
BIOS? If it is seen in the BIOS and not in Windows, try booting with a
Win98 startup disk that supports the cd-rom. When you do that, can cd's
be read in the drive? If not, the drive is probably dead and needs to
be replaced. Post back with some more details and answers to these
questions if you want more help.
