The blue start line not toned - something wrong?

Hi!

I use Windows XP Media Center Edition and lately my computer has started up
really slowly. And I have always thought that (I might not remember correct
though) that the blue line (with Start and the clock) was toned, starting
from dark blue in the bottom and ending in light blue in the top. It's just
that, when I started up my computer just now, the line wasn't toned. It's was
dark and light, with a line inbetween ( look:
http://apartment20.com/blue_line_cap.jpg ). This + the slow start up, worries
me great deal. Are these symptoms of a forthcoming computer crash? :o

Thank you very much for your input and advice in advance.

Nah. It looks absolutely normal. Did you knotice that it was different
before? I'm using the MCE theme from one of those MS downloads. The bar looks
exactly the same. The top part is just the "light reflection". You're fine.

Phew, good - thank you!

Well, that's the thing. I really think it was different before - toned, and
not two seperate colors. But of course I'm not so sure now. But also, I
didn't look at that before, the other blue Microsoft-stuff (like the menus at
the left, when in "My documents") aren't toned either. I could've sworn they
used to be toned also... Could I have inadvertently changed some color
setting? (It ought not be anything wrong with the graphics on my computer,
because then, logically, other stuff would look not-the-same also, and
everything else is fine, as far as I can tell.)
