Hello!

The BITS present You their computer mods.

These are mostly old Pentiums and PII
computers with modded cases and lights.

They were bought second hand in ebay
and then cleaned and painted.

If someone shows interest, then it is
possible to buy. BITS will hear Your offer!

Who is going to show interest? Why? These aren't old classic cars, or pieces
of art, they are old computers that someone has thrown in a skip and someone
else has taken out of the skip and painted, badly!

The Linux boys love old computers, *but* they`ll
have to be free <g>.

So true... I often reuse old cases because they're free
(either abandoned or I reused what I had) or nearly so from
friends at local computer stores, and because unlike some
newer cases some of the old ones used quite thick metal so
when the required improvement in airflow modifications are
made, large fan holes can be cut without compromising the
structural integrity of the case much. Painting them is
another matter, given the time and cost to do it well the
outcome isn't worthwhile since (especially in the last few
weeks, at least in the US) there have been several cases on
sale and/or with rebates that end up costing $20 or less.

I suppose a good paint job could create an artistic touch
but to put that time into an old case seems less worthwhile
than to modify a new one with a lot more modern features
going for it.
